A coach who invests in how you learn
At 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu South Bay, our coaches are serious about being the best they can be — so they've joined a community of forward-thinking coaches, led by Greg Souders, who train with the constraints-led approach: a modern, games-based method grounded in motor-learning science. You learn by solving real problems on the mat — and build skill faster.

The space is awesome — you would be hard pressed to find a gym with a higher concentration of top-tier talent to learn from. There are classes for all ages with head coach and owner PJ Barch, who is one of the best BJJ competitors in the world, and team. The 10p South Bay coaches are a group who still compete at the highest level while constantly sharpening their own game and sharing what they learn with their students. Choosing this school is a guaranteed way to level up your jiu-jitsu, or guarantee that you build a strong base as a beginner. 10/10 would recommend.
PJ is at the forefront of modern jiu-jitsu and coaches nearly every class! Super hands-on, knows everyone's names, and holds multiple open mats a week for others to join. He's the real deal! Great culture and talent in the gym with so much potential as it continues to rapidly grow. If you're debating gyms this is a no-brainer and 100% worth a commute if you aren't close. Shoutout the rest of the staff too with great pointers and a second perspective to share alongside PJ. The accountability within the gym to get better every day is felt. Let's go!
The BEST jiu-jitsu gym I've ever joined! It's a great place for all levels and ages. I've improved so much by joining and the instructors are AMAZING. I absolutely love how caring the staff is and how proactive they are in helping their female students. My friends also bring their children and they love seeing how involved the staff is with the kids program. If I could give them a 10-star review I would. Highly recommend this place!
I originally started my jiu-jitsu journey at a different gym. I decided to move over to 10th Planet South Bay and that was the best decision I could've made for my jiu-jitsu! PJ and Donna, along with the other coaches, are all so passionate about teaching. The community was very welcoming — I'm thankful to be part of the team!
My children love and look forward to coming to this gym every day — they work hard and have fun. All the coaches are kind, passionate, and invested in every member's development on and off the mats. The adult side is just as great, awesome coaches and great training partners. Glad we found this community.
One of, if not the best place to train wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu in the South Bay. The instructors made me feel welcome and a part of their team the first couple weeks into training. I'm thankful to learn and share the mats with the future of jiu-jitsu.
Great place to train! Chill basement atmosphere with a lounge area and lots of mat space. With the instructors being so connected directly to Eddie Bravo, you are receiving the most elite-level knowledge of no-gi available today.
I'm a beginner in BJJ and everyone (PJ, Dana, Allen) is so welcoming and patient. My endurance, strength, and flexibility are on a whole new level in such a short amount of time!!!
